I am a farmer with a physical disability. Farming is the source of my income but I was not making good income through traditional farming like maize, millet, etc. I have to work hard in a difficult landscape and with less income, life was tough. Share and Care supported me and our farmer group members to start vegetable, fruit, and other cash crops farming. Now we grow vegetables and fruits that make a good income in a short period with less effort.
Life is getting easy and with motivation from Share and Care staff, I am encouraged to work for the right and opportunities of other disabled people in my community. I have united disable people in our community, helped 86 disable to register for their disability right card. We have received some funds from the local government to support our work. Now we have started to live with dignity and appreciate the support of Share and Care.
