“The JOY of the Journey” Project aims to develop a prosperous society by enhancing community household income through creating livelihood opportunities, institutional development and strengthening, community empowerment, combating human trafficking, and creating a sustainable environment.
The communities of the proposed project area are extremely poor due to the topography, lack of economic opportunities, traditional practices, lack of market access, unsafe migration, lack of awareness, and lack of unity among the communities.
Share and Care Nepal (SCN), using the learnings and experiences that it has gained through over thirty years in community development, has designed the project with the intent to work with the communities and the local government (Rural Municipality) in a participatory, collaborative, and resource-sharing approach so that the development initiatives are owned and managed by the local communities.
The project will benefit 811 households of 3,223 population (Male 1,544 and Female 1,679) of Shikharbesi, Ward-7, Dupcheshwor Rural Municipality (RM) of Nuwakot district by 2027.
